VFW Communications New Products

The VFW Communications recently expanded its online services to help assist Departments and Posts in their public-affairs initiatives. The new features are auto-delivery of VFW news releases (RSS) and online video news. (Spread the news: download the information flyer and distribute it to your members and your friends to tell them about VFW online videos and our RSS link.)

RSS News Feed (VFW news release auto delivery)

Instead of searching through myriad websites for your news, a RSS feed brings it to you via a newsreader or aggregator. Sounds complicated? Not at all. First, click here:
http://www.vfw.org/index.cfm?fa=news.levelc&cid=3852&tok=1 Scroll to the bottom of the page link until you see the Google, Yahoo, and AOL logos. Click on any logo, and follow their prompts. A valid RSS URL will take you to a preview page where you can see how the module will look on your page. If you like what you see, confirm by clicking "Add." Congratulations! You've just added VFW’s news feed to your page.

VFW Video

VFW is inviting Departments and Posts to share their post-related activities videos with the VFW online community. Departments, posts and VFW members may submit their video clip to the VFW Communications Department, where it will be reviewed for appropriateness and edited for brevity. Video segments should be brief (less than 3 minutes) and include narration. Send your clips to:
